Anne & Neil – Constantia Glen & Suikerbossie

Monday, April 29th, 2013

What a love-filled wedding.   The day was just perfect, the weather mild and sunny with no wind, beautiful bride, handsome groom and surrounded by friends and family to celebrate their special day with them.  Anne’s beautiful dress was from The Wedding Box.  I met Anne at her family home in Constantia where she was getting ready and everyone was so relaxed and happy.     The ceremony was set in the most spectacular setting of Constantia Glen.  After the ceremony Anne & Neil cut the delicious cake made by Charly’s Bakery for all the guest to have with champagne.  Everyone then moved on to Suikerbossie where the festivities continued.  It was such fun meeting your family and being part of your special day.  I wish you both a very happy life together and I know you will be.   Enjoy your photos.

Lena & Falk – Misty Cliffs

Monday, March 25th, 2013

Another beautiful wedding planned by Christiane of Kap Events. Lena and Falk live in Germany and planned to celebrate their wedding here in Cape Town with their two sons and close friends.  The legal ceremony took place at a home in Misty Cliffs overlooking the most amazing view.  When we arrived, the weather was a bit overcast but as we all headed down to Scarborough Beach for the ring ceremony afterwards, it cleared up beautifully.   I wish you and your family a very happy life together and thank you for choosing this beautiful city for your special celebration.  I enjoyed meeting you all.

Patricia & Paul – Crofters – Noordhoek

Tuesday, March 19th, 2013

Patricia and Paul planned their wedding from the UK with the help of family here in Cape Town.  Their special day was celebrated with close friends and family.   Wedding photographers like me love it when their brief from the couple is to capture the day as it unfolds, naturally without orchestrating anything.    The morning of the wedding it poured with rain but then cleared up beautifully for the ceremony.   Crofters was the amazing venue for the ceremony and reception.  The vibe was relaxed and intimate.   Children were a big part of the day, having so much fun swimming, playing soccer and enjoying the jumping castle.  Congratulations to you both and I wish you much happiness.  Enjoy the photos.

Joy & Stuart’s Wedding – Sea Trader

Tuesday, February 26th, 2013

I met Joy and Stuart a couple of years ago when I photographed Bree & Pete’s Wedding and was so excited to be chosen as their wedding photographer for their wedding.    Sea Trader was the amazing venue for their wedding and what a setting.  It was my first visit there and I can highly recommend it as a wedding venue.  Then to top off the perfect day, the weather played along, everyone was chilled and in the mood to party – ingredients for a day to remember.   You both looked amazing, the love and joy was all around you – thank you for choosing me to capture your special day!  Enjoy your photos.

Barnaby & Karen

Sunday, February 24th, 2013

Barnaby and Karen celebrated their special day with family and close friends.  It was a very happy day.     Wedding photographers get to explore and do some pretty amazing things.  Going out on a yacht from the Waterfront is no exception.   I met Karen at The Cape Grace where she was getting ready with little Annabelle and her bridesmaid and then we headed down to the yacht for the sunset cruise ceremony and reception.  The weather was just perfect and everyone (almost everyone) got their sea legs on and had a great time.  Congratulations to you both and I wish you a very happy life together filled with love and laughs.

Melanie & Alexander – Lighthouse Wedding

Saturday, February 9th, 2013

Wedding photographers get to be there on days when people who love each other come together.    Melanie and Alexander clearly have so much love for each other.   I felt very honoured to be there to share their special day with them photographing their special day.   They live in Germany and with the help of Christiane from KapEvents planned to get married secretly here in Cape Town.  There is something very romantic about eloping.   Melanie and Alexander were relaxed and really took in all the beauty of the day.  The ceremony was at the top of Slangkop Lighthouse in Kommetjie overlooking the most amazing view.  After that we took a walk along the boardwalk to take some photos while taking in the sights around us.   Enjoy the rest of your holiday here in South Africa.  By now your family and friends will all know your exciting news!  I wish you a life together filled with beauty, grace and love.  Enjoy your photos.

Nina & Denis

Saturday, December 22nd, 2012

When I met Nina and Denis is felt like I was meeting old friends.  They are from Germany and planned their romantic wedding here in Cape Town with the lovely Christiane.  Nina and her mom had chosen her beautiful wedding dress at home and I just loved the red touches to both outfits.  First we did all the legal bits at Antrim Villa with Walter as the minister and then we headed down to Bakoven and to say it was windy would be and understatement but it just added to the excitement and what a setting is was too!   Congratulations and I wish you both a very happy married life together – enjoy your photos.

I was so excited to photograph Sarah and Marc’s special day.  A couple of years ago I photographed Sarah’s brother’s wedding so it was great catching up with Gareth and Tiffany too.  Sarah got ready at her parents home and then made her way over to Monkey Valley where the ceremony and reception was happening.   You are both such special people with so much love for each other, your family and friends.   I so enjoyed having the special task of capturing it all for you.  Congratulations to you both and I wish you a life together filled with so much love and happy times.  Enjoy reliving your day through the photos.
